Who We Are
Structure & Accountability
Organizational Structure
Resource Movement is managed by a group of volunteer members, with support from a paid National Organizer. We host an ‘open coordinating call’ once a month, during which members who are present on the call make decisions together about the activities of our working groups.
Working groups are formed by two or more Resource Movement members to work on projects aligned with our three pillars of activity (learning & education, supporting movements & social justice philanthropy). Our current list of active working groups can be seen here.
Accountability
Resource Movement prioritizes accountability to social justice organizers working for racial, economic and social justice.
Within each of our city-based chapters as well as nationally, we work with social justice movement advisory committees, comprised of leading organizers within grassroots social movements. Several times per year, Resource Movement members meet with the advisory committees to solicit feedback on our work and explore ways to work in greater solidarity with movements.
We are grateful to work with organizers leading struggles for: Decolonization, Migrant justice, Racial justice, Gender justice, Disability justice, Economic justice, Police/prison abolition, and Environmental/climate justice.
